The Arabic version of the fear of covid-19 scale: psychometric properties and relationship to future anxiety in Jordanians

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused various psychological problems worldwide, such as fear, anxiety, and depression. Since the fear of can adversely affect disease management, it must be measured appropriately. This study aims to verify validity reliability Arabic version FCV-19S its relation future anxiety in Jordanians. cross-sectional was conducted from September 8 28, 2020 on a sample 760 Jordanian participants. According results, seven items scale were loaded one component, they explained 66.3% total variance. Both classical test theory item response (Rasch model) used evaluate psychometric properties items. internal consistency (α) was0.91. concurrent supported by (r = 0.87).The Rasch model offered good for FCV-19S. measurement invariance showed no differences concerning gender or age. thus found an effective screening assessing among adult population.
